Here you'll find original piano music, sheet music, recordings and creative projects shaped by curiosity, imagination and a distinctly human approach to music-making. From lyrical character pieces and rhythmic studies to virtuosic concert works and contemporary musical storytelling, Justin's work blends classical craft with groove, humour, atmosphere and expressive pianism.

Born in Adelaide and shaped by years in Perth, Sydney and Los Angeles, Justin James is a composer, pianist, arranger, educator and former radio broadcaster who believes music should be expressive, imaginative and unapologetically human.

Drawing on a broad creative background, his work spans contemporary piano compositions, arrangements, recordings, recitals, educational resources and original media projects.

 

Classically trained at WAAPA, Justin combines musical craftsmanship with curiosity, humour and a love of storytelling -creating work that ranges from lyrical concert pieces and rhythmic studies to satirical broadcasts and creative explorations of modern life.

He has released several albums, written on music education, and continues to explore new ideas through composition, performance, writing and visual media.

At the heart of it all is a simple belief: music, like conversation, is a deeply human language capable of connecting people across backgrounds, generations and experiences.
